Did you know there’s a school named after me? :-)

True story…sorta…In Norwalk, Iowa the town where I grew up, the Norwalk Community School District is very similar to the Riverview School District in size with 3 elementaries, 1 middle school and 1 high school. One of the elementary schools is named Oviatt Elementary after my father-in-law who was Superintendent of Norwalk Community Schools for 26 years. So when the family goes back to visit relatives and we meet new people – we are often asked – is Oviatt Elementary named after you? We just smile and say YES!
