Sue Davenport – Parent, Community Leader, Child Advocate

It is my pleasure to offer this endorsement for School Board candidate Lori Oviatt.  I’ve known Lori for the past 14 years.  In this time, I’ve found her to be a tireless advocate for children.

Lori works to be part of the solution for our district. She is a positive problem solver who keeps the needs of the children at the center of her work.  She works tirelessly to provide our Riverview students access to exceptional education, accommodation, and opportunity.  She is bold in her delivery and driven in her mission to help this district succeed.  She is not afraid to challenge that which needs to be challenged.

Lori’s background and experience in education and curriculum development give her an important perspective as she addresses the teaching and learning goals.  She can look at where we want to go as a district and help design an effective and attainable strategy to reach those goals.

I’ve seen Lori in the Board room, in our schools, on the sideline at sporting events, at community events, and representing our district at the state level. At all times, she is the model of servant leadership, ready to do whatever it takes to keep our district moving forward and to best represent the needs of our students and families.  Being so involved gives Lori an opportunity to interact with the families in our district. She is constantly learning and listening in order to best represent our citizens.

Riverview School District is fortunate to have a representative with such personal and professional integrity working for ALL our kids.  I am grateful for her service.

Respectfully submitted,
