2021 Board of Distinction award and one more sleep

Tomorrow Nov. 2 is Election Day! Please exercise your right to vote. Thank you to all who have voted and for all who have reached out to me asking questions and learning more about the Riverview School District! It is an honor to serve as a board member for the Riverview School District.

In other news – RSD Board of Directors was named as a 2021 Board of Distinction winner. This is the 8th consecutive year and only 34 schools out of 295 in Washington State received this honor. As stated from Washington State School Directors Association – Your board presented exemplary evidence of ongoing professional development, addressing opportunity gaps, and practicing governance that reflects the Washington School Board Standards during the 2020-21 school year. The selection panel, which included the Educational Service Districts and State Board of Education members, agreed that your board met the standards to be recognized as a WSSDA Board of Distinction.
