Phil Gore – Division Director, Texas Association of School Boards

As a Riverview School Board member from 2002 to 2007, I was privileged to serve on the board when we first appointed Lori to fill an unexpired term.  That was a tough choice, as there were other highly qualified candidates.  Lori edged out the other candidates for the position, not only due to her long-term commitment and service to the district, but also due to her knowledge of the issues and level-headed approach to school district governance.

It has been an honor to watch Lori’s growth in her role and ongoing commitment to excellent service as a school director.  In 2012, Lori earned a master trustee designation after an intensive year-long leadership program with WSSDA (The Washington School Directors’ Association).  Lori’s mature approach to school governance and quest for knowledge is impressive when talking with her at statewide and national leadership development conferences.
For proven and balanced continued service and improvement of Riverview School District, vote for Lori Oviatt.
