Jack Madigan – Stillwater Elem Principal

It is my honor to endorse Lori Oviatt’s candidacy as a school board director for the Riverview School District. Lori Oviatt has an amazing heart for students and has worked on their behalf for 23 years. I have worked with Director Oviatt for 5 years in the capacity as Principal of Stillwater Elementary School.  Her leadership, innovation and vision for the future make her an outstanding choice to continue her legacy of work as a champion for student learning. Lori Oviatt was the school board President when I joined the administrative team at Riverview in 2012. During that time, Lori initiated study group sessions with building administrators, the superintendent and the board of directors. This hands on approach to dig into issues facing student learning and education is Lori Oviatt style and evidence of leadership. Lori Leads by example.

Lori Oviatt is innovative and progressive. She understands what students need to know and be able to do in order to guarantee their future success. Her experience in the workplace as a Learning Solutions Provider at Microsoft provides her with real world knowledge of how the working world is changing and what schools need to do in order to keep their promise to their students. Lori Oviatt’s stewardship of this promise is working. Riverview’s graduation rates remain one of the best in the State of Washington. Our schools are routinely recognized as high achieving and responsive. Her advocacy for students goes beyond 21st Century Career skills. Lori serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. She understands the importance of a well-rounded educational experience and the benefits of after school activities. Please join me in supporting the students of Riverview by extending Lori Oviatt’s position as a Director on the Riverview School District’s School Board.
